We know that being part of a DOTW retreat is an experience that will change your life, and want to make sure you have all the information you need. Below are some of our frequently asked questions and comprehensive answers to get you started.

 

 

Why aren't there more details available about the retreat?

Every DOTW Retreat is significantly different from the previous one as is every retreat location.

Each retreat we experience a powerful move of God that defies explanation. 

While nothing about the retreat or the weekend is a secret, there simply are no words to adequately describe the awesomeness of it. It is truly a "You Had to Be There" level of experience.

We intentionally do not release the exact address of the retreat venue prior to 24-48 hours before Retreat day.

This is part of the treasure hunt of each retreat and what the Lord wants to do in and for us during the weekend.

You will receive emails and updates before the retreat weekend with more details and will also be given emergency contact numbers that you can share with your spouse/loved ones prior to the weekend.

We do ask that retreat attendees do not share the location of the venue for safety reasons.

Will I have my own room?

No, all rooms are shared and we are unable to accommodate single occupancy room requests. If you have specific needs for your room, please let us know and we will do our best to assist with those needs. All requests are considered, however, we cannot make guarantees.

 

What does a shared room look like?

This varies based on the retreat facility. The rooms can range from double, triple, or quad occupancy.

Can I choose my roommates?

No. We intentionally encourage mixing attendees up to allow you to meet and grow with new friends and sisters in Christ.

Can I bring my baby/toddler?

No, while we love babies we do not allow children/nursing infants. DOTW events are designed to create an environment where you are able to relax,  be refreshed, and fully engage with the Lord outside of the daily tugs and pulls of motherhood.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

We can to a certain degree accommodate some minor food allergies and vegan/vegetarian diets.

Please fill in the appropriate section of your registration form so we are aware of your needs prior to the retreat. Unfortunately, without prior notice accommodations cannot be made once you arrive at the retreat.

Attendees with extreme dietary needs may bring their own food.

Is my registration refundable?
All registrations are non-refundable, regardless of circumstances, including, but not limited to:

 weather, natural disaster, acts of terrorism, flight delays or cancellation, health conditions; medical,

personal, family, work emergencies; change of mind.

What happens if the retreat is canceled?

It is our heart to never cancel a retreat and will do our best to move the retreat to a future date. However, in the unlikely event that a retreat must be canceled, attendees will have the option to transfer registration to a future retreat.

Are my travel expenses included in the cost?
No. Retreat registration does not include airfare or ground transportation.

We are able to offer an airport shuttle service for a nominal fee at some select retreats.

Can I donate to DOTW or sponsor a woman? 
Yes, absolutely. We have never turned a woman away because of financial hardships and the inability to pay for her retreat.​ We've been able to maintain this policy with the help of donations and sponsorships from everyday people just like you. To donate or sponsor a woman you can click here
